On December 29, 2022, we had a great showing as we celebrated the 4th principle of KWANZAA (UJAMAA – Cooperative Economics). We had effort for the overall organizational setup, with several guest participants delivering great nuggets of wisdom. Ms. Angela Randall (Colored Books) provided a great traditional introduction as well as nutritional value information of healthy teas. Mr. Ike Awagu gave a great talk on cooperative economics (to include great recommended reading materials) which was a great segway into Mr. Luther Cox’s (Inter City Row Modern Dance Company) collaborative group discussion. It was great to see the Shreveport Sun Newspaper in attendance to help in recording this well-received event. Thanks again to all who participated in the success of this event.

On December 16th 2022, we hosted the exquisite photography of Mr. Greg Ellis. Mr. Ellis select several pieces from his collection for this exhibit. Frenchie Evans, Sara Pool, Ora Hart, Jameelah El-Amin, Venecia Cannon were among many who helped with the overall setup. The showing drew close to 60 viewers from around the Shreveport/Bossier area. This showing will run through March 2023.
